Chile-Korea Forum will be held at the Institute of International Studi

The objective of the Chile-Korea Forum is both to promote academic and cultural exchange between the two countries and to seek concrete methods to strengthen their bilateral relations in political, economic and socio ¿ cultural views. To do this, Hankuk University of Foreign Studies, Kyung Hee University, and University of Chile, in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of the Republic of Korea, will develop this important academic activity on November 30th and December 1st, 2009 at the Institute of International Studies of the University of Chile.

During the first day, Monday November 30th, the event will be held from 09:00 to 17:00 hrs., highlighting issues of Economy and Politics, such as: environmental cooperation and green growth, new technology for low-pollution cars, the economic effects of the Korea-Chile FTA, presidentialism and political coalitions in Korea and Chile.

The second day, Tuesday December 1st, the activity will be held from 09:00 to 13:30 hrs., and the topics will be about Society and Culture, for example: Poems of Pablo Neruda in Korean, Korean cultural identity, past and present of Korean cinema, the Korean and Chilean literature: the current status of Chilean literature in Korea.
