Resumen
Chile actualmente tiene vigentes 22 acuerdos comerciales con más de 60 países, cuenta con 24 tratados para evitar la doble tributación y ha suscrito 61 acuerdos para la promoción y protección reciproca de las inversiones, lo que junto con otras circunstancias, lo transforman en una de las economías más abiertas del mundo.
Si bien los resultados obtenidos en la suscripción de acuerdos que regulan el comercio y el intercambio de bienes, son claramente apreciables en virtud del aumento de los flujos de intercambio comercial entre los países suscriptores, distinto es el intentar determinar si los acuerdos que promueven y regulan la inversión, han tenido un impacto tan claro en la atracción de nuevos proyectos de inversión.
El presente estudio busca estudiar si la existencia de acuerdos que promueven y regulan la inversión suscritos con Perú, influyeron en la decisión del inversionista chileno, en elegir dicho país por sobre otros.
Abstract
Chile currently has 22 existing trade agreements with over 60 countries, has 24 treaties to avoid double taxation and has signed 61 agreements for the promotion and reciprocal protection of investments, which together with other circumstances; convert it into one of the world's most open economies.
While the results obtained in the signing of agreements that regulate trade and exchange of goods, are clearly visible due to the increase of trade flows between the signatory countries, different is trying to determine whether agreements that promote and regulate investment, have had an impact as clear on attracting new investment projects.
This study seeks to examine whether the existence of agreements that promote and regulate investment agreements with Peru, influenced the decision of the Chilean investor in that country choose over others.
